Interested in Exploring the Christian Academic Vocation? Collegium is a joint effort by 65 Catholic colleges and universities to recruit faculty who can enrich the spiritual and intellectual life of their institutions. Collegium sponsors an annual colloquy intended for faculty and advanced graduate students to explore the Christian academic vocation. Next year's colloquy will be held June 15-22, 2012 at Saint John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota. The application deadline for graduate student fellowships is Dec. 30th. See www.collegium.org for more information. There are also a limited number of brochures available at the Catholic Center.
2012 March for Life - Monday, Jan 23rd Please join the St. Paul's community on the 2012 March for Life! Details from the national website are located here. Tentatively, a deluxe bus will depart on Sunday Jan 22nd - after the pro-life vigil at the parish - and return to campus on Tuesday Jan 24th after midnight (around 2-3AM). Cost will be approximately $30 for students and $40 for young-adult professionals. [An extra $40 is suggested to cover out-of-pocket meals/incidentals on Monday while in D.C., as per the discretion of each person.] This is a great opportunity to meet and network with pro-life supporters across the nation and pray for the cause; locally, it also helps builds a stronger pro-life community with fellow students and parishioners at the chaplaincy. More details are forthcoming! If interested in reserving a seat on the bus and/or helping to organize, please contact St. Paul Parish Pro-Life Chair Dr. Juan Carmona at carmona@post.harvard.edu.
